Super Simple Dutch Oven Chili

1 package of extra lean ground beef
4 x Italian sausages with casing removed
2 x celery stalks
2 x carrots
1 x can of mushrooms
1 x bell pepper
1 x white onion
3 x garlic cloves
1 x can of kidney beans (rinsed)
1 x can of stewed tomatoes
1 x large can of brown beans in tomato sauce
1 tablespoon of garlic salt
1 tablespoon of ground black pepper
2 x tablespoons of chili pepper (or package of prepared chili spice)
1 bottle of prepared pasta sauce (I like Classico)


1. Mix beef and sausage together
2. Brown in large Dutch oven
3. Add chopped onion, garlic, celery and carrots
4. Sautee all together about 3 mins on med high heat
5. Add mushrooms and peppers
6. Mix
7. Add tomato sauce, beans, kidney beans, stewed tomatoes
8. Mix
9. Add seasoning
10. Mix
11. Cover and cook on medium low heat for 30 to 60 minutes
12. Season more to taste
11. Serve and top with shredded cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream and accompanied by focaccia bread
